Environmental Engineer - Environmental/Program/Support 36.5-39.5 $/hr

Location: Honolulu, HI, USA
A well established Engineering Firm has a temp to perm position located in Honolulu, HI for an Environmental Engineer to support a large-scale planning, engineering, construction, and base operating support program with the primary mission to deliver infrastructure that will support the US Marines relocation from Okinawa to Guam. Local candidates preferred although client may consider relocation for an ideal match.

Responsibilities:

-> Prepare or manage portions of the Guam Relocation Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) or special environmental/planning studies
-> Assist in the development of mitigation measures
-> Coordinate proposals with agencies and the public, and develop solutions to resolve conflicts
-> Contribute and participate in meetings with other business line representatives to help gather specific information needed for the EIS
-> Support in ensuring that the EIS adequately addresses the environmental impacts of the proposed action, and resolves issues and conflicting comments on the EIS
-> Customer interface, with periodic travel to customer site as required to support the environmental program
-> Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Requirements:

-> BS degree in engineering
-> 12 to 15 years related experience
-> 5-10 years experience in environmental project management
-> 5-10 years experience in NEPA desired
-> 5-10 years experience in DoD environmental project management desired

• What experience can you share showing you can support and prepare or manage portions of the Guam Relocation Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) or special environmental-planning studies in support of the Guam EIS and that the EIS adequately addresses the environmental impacts of the proposed action, and resolves issues and conflicting comments on the EIS

• What experience will show you have solid environmental project management skills? Do you have any experience in NEPA? Do you have any DoD environmental project management experience. Please explain for each if yes.

• Where do you currently live and why are you interested in a position located in Honolulu, HI?

• What is your current or most recent hourly rate of pay or annual salary (break down base bonus, OT, etc.) and what is our desired hourly rate of pay for this position?
