Located on the west coast of Tasmania and with a record of strong growth, this iron ore open pit mine operation requires a Mine Production Engineer due to the launch of a new initiative. The mine covers an area of approximately 2,400 hectares and expects to have a 15-year life as the company intend to deepen and reconfigure the existing open cuts with the potential to mine other satellite ore bodies.

The successful candidate will have a Mining Engineering degree with experience in open cut mining operations in both production and planning. Furthermore, you will ideally have drill and blast experience combined with the completion of a graduate training programme. Competent knowledge and working experience of mine planning software including Surpac 2000 and Talpac is preferred as is knowledge and experience of Microsoft office software including Excel, Word, Project, Access and PowerPoint.
