This exciting mining, exploration and development Company is looking for a Mine Planning Engineer (Short to Medium) to join them on a permanent residential basis. They are ideally looking for an individual with experience in both mine planning and open-pit mine operations and who would be excited at the prospect of assisting in the set up of a new mining project (re-establishing an old mine), with ambitions to convert the ore body into a world class mine.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to short term production planning, material scheduling, life of mine planning, monitoring costs etc.

To be successful in this role you must have a thorough understanding of the mining process, mine design and planning packages (eg SURPAC) as well having the ability to interpret production reports. Part of your remit will be to be the stand in Mine Super and Mine Manager when required. Applicants with Drill & Blast design experience will be highly considered. Based in Tasmania, this position and project offers substantial lifestyle and career opportunities for mining engineers and families.
