Our client, one of Australias major contracting organisations that operates multiple coal and metalliferous mines across Australia is seeking to appoint a Mining Engineer to their Brisbane office. With this company you can expect your work to be rewarded as well as enjoy career progression opportunities coupled with further training and professional development.

Travelling to site as required you will be providing technical support across multiple operations as well as assisting in the tendering and estimating of projects. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the efficiency of the production personnel
* Assisting in the development of plans and schedules
* Assisting in the tendering process as well as reviewing current projects performance

Ideal candidates will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining or Civil Engineering
* Previous experience in open cut mining environments
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* The ability to identify opportunities for improvements
