Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can run teams and projects on major schemes? A great opportunity has come up with a well-known EPCM contractor for a Lead Engineer within their Mechanical division. Having recently been appointed on several major mining and resources schemes both within Australia and overseas, they are looking for someone who can manage teams and projects from pre-feasibility and design through to completion.

The focus of this role will be to manage a team of Mechanical Engineers ranging from graduates to senior level, as well as drafters. You will be responsible for setting and delivering schedules for feasibility studies and design work. There will also be multi-disciplinary interaction with civil, structural, electrical and process engineering departments. Mentoring junior engineers and providing high level technical input is a key function of this high level position.

We are seeking a degree-qualified engineer who has considerable experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within the mining and resources sector. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to manage teams of around 10-15 staff, and also manage large-scale projects from pre-feasibility and client liaison, through design stages and on to construction. Typical projects you will have worked in include mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial projects. You will also ideally have had exposure to other engineering disciplines.
