We are currently assisting one of our clients; a small multi commodity mining company to find a Fixed Plant Mechanical Engineer on a permanent contract.The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in an exciting environment that will require a split location role spending 80% of your time in the Perth office and the remaining at one of their operational mine sites in Western Australia.

The purpose of the role is to assist the Senior Engineer with capital projects and to provide mechanical engineering technical support and guidance to the fixed plant operations.

You will be responsible for:
# Providing Mechanical Engineering support to the operations it is essential that you have experience with conveyors, bulk material handling crushing screening and pumping facilities, including the ability to calculate structural integrity and conveyor calculations
# Safety, Health and Environment issues relating to engineering tasks to ensure they meet company standards Ensuring all Mechanical statutory inspections and tests meet the relevant regulations and laws and conducting audits
# Providing construction supervision for multi-disciplined projects of small to medium capital expenditure.

To be considered for this role you ideally will have Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and ideally have 2yrs+ experience working in the mining sector.
