Like to join a growing specialist power systems consultancy?

Specialising in SCADA, EMS, HVDC and communications systems, my client is building a reputation on delivering where other companies have failed. Due to growth and increasing requests from their client base, they seek to engage the services of additional top calibre Power Systems Engineers to keep up with an increasing demand. To succeed in this role you will be expected to have experience in power system modelling and analysis, and be able to support and develop applications (code) for power system controllers. You will be expected to run predominantly unsupervised hence you must be comfortable working autonomously at times.

Key skills of the successful applicants will include the following:
# Understanding and experience in electricity transmission or distribution power systems, either in an engineering or technical capacity.
# Knowledge of SCADA/RTU/HMI systems associated with power systems including substation commissioning, RTU configuration and HMI development.
# Understanding of database modelling of the power system and telemetry.
# Understanding of high availability systems and control centres.
# Relevant technical/ engineering qualifications in high voltage power systems/ electrical engineering, controls systems or protection systems.
# Programming capability particularly in C/C++ and Fortran.

These roles would ideally suit somebody directly from a senior technical role within the electrical utilities or an someone working for a top tier power consultancy looking for a new challenge.
