An outstanding success to date in delineating a field in the Timor Sea with First Oil of 30,000 BOPD has underpinned full commitment to developing the full potential of the Field.

As a result a substantial appraisal and development drilling program will see a high level of activity over several years, commencing with further drilling later this year. Several development phases are planned, commencing with Phase 2 next year, all aimed at developing resources (OIIP) of around 200 million barrels.

With the recent acquisition of an additional Field, there is now an immediate requirement for experienced Senior Reservoir Engineers in both the Development and Operations area, who wish to contribute to the sustained growth of a leading Melbourne-based Exploration & Production Company.

You will be responsible within your chosen speciality for the optimisation of the Companys assets by utilising your outstanding skills in analysis and communication within the related disciplines.

In particular, you will have demonstrated experience and abilities to apply the high-level numerical analysis and modelling techniques to generate meaningful recommendations that will be implemented by the Petroleum, Drilling and Production groups as appropriate.

Since you are likely to have been exposed to (mastered) both key areas of Reservoir Engineering, you will have the following key attributes covered:
# Analysis and planning for well test programmes.
# Dynamic reservoir simulation and reserves estimates.
# Well production profiling and optimisation.
# Conversant with several major modelling software packages.
# Ability to work with closely with production and development teams for analysis of commercial appraisals.

This is a hands-on role that will see you interacting closely with the team of Geoscientists and Petroleum Engineers to maximise the opportunities within the portfolio of assets. You will therefore demonstrate your understanding of the geo-data acquisition process, analysis and appraisal techniques, and integration into the numerical and stochastic modelling environments.
