This international mining contractor have an immediate vacancy for an Underground Shift Supervisor based at the Waihi gold mine in New Zealands North Island. Situated just South of the Coromandel peninsular, in the Bay Of Plenty, this is an excellent opportunity to live and work in one of New Zealands most stunning areas.

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor, who has a strong background in underground gold, particularly in challenging ground conditions. A strong safety focus and proven crew management ability are important. Reporting directly to the mine foreman; you will be in charge of around 20 crew per shift.

You will be working on a residential day and night roster, of 7:3, 7:5, 6:3, 7:4, with shifts of 11.5 hours.

Due to the nature of the industry in New Zealand these positions do not come available often. This will be a great role for a Kiwi to return to NZ and stay in the mining industry, or for someone to come and experience the New Zealand lifestyle.
