An international oil consultant is actively searching for a Process Consultant Engineer in the Houston, TX area. The Process Consultant Engineer will be responsible for evaluating profit improvement opportunities for our clients facilities. This position will initially focus on supporting the company's energy and process modeling practices. You will be responsible for utilizing company's proprietary approaches and tools to improve energy efficiency in process plants. You will also be responsible for collection and reconciliation of process data from multiple sources to form an overall computer model selected sections or the entire operation. You must be able to work well as a member of a consulting team, developing the model flowsheet and integrating the models submitted by Process Technology Specialist team members, and executing step-off cases using this model. You may also perform rigorous simulations of fractionation and other units using various process modeling programs. Candidates need a BS in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years relevant process experience in a petroleum refinery operations and/or process engineering environment. You must be able to travel internationally for periods of 2-3 weeks, up to 25% a year; a frequent travel bonus is paid. Refinery process modeling skills are required. The position pays a very competitive salary, full benefits, 401K and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
