Senior Geotechnical/Mining Engineer Canada
Permanent senior level position in Kelowna in Canada.
Our client, a Mining Practice is currently seeking a Senior Mining Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing surface mining engineering projects with a primary project focus on pit slopes, waste dump and tailings embankment stability investigations, though supplemental experience with other surface geotechnical infrastructure and facility foundations will be useful. The candidate will manage, design, implements, preliminary feasibility studies (preliminary assessments, preliminary feasibility studies), property assessments and technical reports.
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Mining Engineering
Eight years or more of industry or consulting engineering experience
The ability to establish and maintain solid client relationships
Willingness to travel to remote mine sites for extended periods of time
Experience working in a consulting engineering environment as a senior project management level
Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment
The primary focus will be on mining projects, opportunities exist to work with both the Environmental and Geotechnical Groups in their office.
