Permanent senior level position in the Engineering sector in Gauteng in South Africa (Gauteng).
Leading company - worldwide supplier of advanced technologies, products and services for the metals and mining industries has a vacancy for an experienced senior design engineer with at least 10 years experience in pyrometallurgy and a minimum of 5 years in high capital projects.
Prepare technical solutions for the project and provide technical support throughout project execution
Development of new products from first principles or by comparing previous designs and developing from past learnings
Liaise with Project Engineers regarding type and charateristic of equipment to be utilised with regard to specific order
Ensure adherence to time frame as specified
Prepare technical specifications and functional specification lists
Previous experience in mining/metallurgy is essential
B. Eng Mechanical Degree or equivalent
Ability to read drawings
Ability to work on CAD Drawings
Promptness to urgent situations
Able to perform structural/technical calculations
Solid Technical knowledge
Specific equipment knowledge
Confidence
Outgoing disposition
