Description:CCL has been requested by an international oil company to provide Senior Deepwater Drilling Engineers for its operations in Malaysia. Duration of contract 1 year (renewable annually).
Qualifications:Ideal candidate will have a degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent and a minimum 10 years' drilling engineering experience in SE Asia preferably Malaysia and Indonesia. Good communication skills and computer proficiency required. Fluent in written and spoken English.
Experience:Minimum of 10 years' relevant drilling engineering and drilling operations experience. Role will provide advice and in-depth technical support on all matters concerning deepwater well design so as to optimize cost and ensure safe operations. Support on all matters concerning operations to ensure that deepwater drilling performance is technically sound and economical and to optimize development and production of hydrocarbon resources and develop technological capability. Deepwater rig selection, riser analysis, mooring, dynamic positioning, Blow-out preventers, emergency disconnect, sub-sea wellhead, Xmas tree, subsea control system, vessels and other subsea operation (ROV) to optimize cost and ensure safe operation. Develop procedures and guidelines for safe and optimised execution of deepwater drilling operations. Define technology requirements. Ensure adoption of accurate methodology. Provide QA / QC, prepare and monitor well cost estimates, AFEs and schedule, end of well reports and materials reconciliation, provide coaching and mentoring to operator (client) engineers.
