Planning Assistant

Our client is a diverse engineering and construction organisation with an international reputation for innovation and excellence have been awarded a significant Mineral Sands Project based in Victoria, located NE of Melbourne. Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and site experienced Planning Assistant. Responsibilities
* Work with Site Planner to develop a shutdown schedule in conjunction with the Hamilton Construction Superintendent
* Progress reporting
* Maintaining schedule progress activities
* Compile daily, weekly, monthly reporting statistics
* Update KPI data
* Interfacing with Procurement and communicating materials deliveries to Site EngineersQualifications / Experience:
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent Trade Qualification / experience
* Understanding of Victorian work environment
* Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
* Exposure to Primavera and Microsoft Projects
* Background in Estimating / Quantity Surveying / Cost Control (Desirable)
* Ability to interpret Construction drawings (Desirable)This contract is expected to run until November 2008.
