MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: M.S. or Ph.D. Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering or Chemistry.

Experience: 10 years of industrial experience related to pilot plant of refining process. Hands-on knowledge and experience in design, operation, and optimization of pilot plant. Hands-on experience in processing heavy oil by hydroprocessing technology. Hands-on knowledge in scaling-up hydroprocessing process. Hands-on knowledge and experience in process design package. Hands-on experience in analyzing data from bench and pilot. Hands-on experience in HMI or SCADA application to pilot plant. Knowledge of process simulation and optimization. Hands-on experience in safety management of pilot plant. Good track of innovation. Ability to identify and satisfy customer s requirements. Interpersonal and communication skills.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Saudi Aramco Research & Development center is establishing an ambitious research program in the area of novel technologies for petroleum upgrading, in particular, whole crude oil desulfurization & upgrading. R&D center is seeking expert of pilot plant design, operation and maintenance to support research activity and develop new process technology.


The candidate will design pilot plant based on bench-scale development and participate in scaling-up of developed process. The candidate will operate, modify, optimize, and maintain pilot plant to evaluate process concept and extract engineering data for scaling-up. The candidate will work also in a cross-functional team of scientists, engineers and technicians engaged in research and development projects.


Candidate should have hands-on experience and knowledge on design and operation of pilot plant, in particular, hydroprocessing pilot plant.


Additionally, experience in scaling-up hydroprocessing process is preferred. Ability of process simulation and optimization is also expected.
