Location: UAE SCOPE OF WORK
• Provide technical expertise with experience based knowledge and assistance to technical and operational divisions / departments on all related matters to reliability engineering, reliability assessment, reliability monitoring for all process equipment (including rotating equipment, static equipment)
• Carry out reliability studies on existing equipment and plants.
• Develop maintenance programs for rotating equipment and installations with the objectives of achieving high service factors at optimum cost.
• Liaises with engineering and major projects in the reliability engineering, design and specifications of plants and installations of new projects.
• Advise on reviewing maintenance practices, philosophies and strategies.
• Assist fields / maintenance engineering department on trouble shooting of non-routine equipment failure.
• Root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability audit as required.
• Develops and implements maintenance optimization programs using reliability centre maintenance (RCM)
• Use CMMS data and carry out Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FEMA), FAC, RCA.
• (RCA) for Rotating Equipment
• Develop Reliability Availability Models (RAM), Life Cost Cycle (LCC) models, and other reliability.
• Tools. Assess critically of equipment and spares.
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIP
• Daily contacts with offshore personnel up to team leader level to discuss problems / faults, studies, recommendations and performance measures and for technical assistance provision, training activities, maintenance works, trouble shooting, failure analysis and other related aspects.
• Frequent contacts with other engineers/team leaders including engineering, commercial, information technology, safety and environment etc…for solving problems related to reliability engineering, scope of work, root cause analysis, risk analysis, cost reporting, reliability assessment and equipment selection, pertaining recommendations, maintenance strategy and CMMS.
• Works according to established policy and professional / specialized technical standards. Exercises latitude when conducting studies for modification / enhancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Technical Support
• Researches and provides technical advises for upgrading and refurbishment rotating equipment during major overhauls or new installations.
• Review packages for new projects and recommend on equipment selection and redundancy and participate in equipment review and proposed new solutions alerts on obsolescence of equipment.
• Prepares and issues maintenance policies and strategies including determination of equipment criticality and defining necessary rules and analysis required for best maintenance type for each system.
• Leads and coordinates the development of maintenance strategy on sites and introduces necessary condition monitoring techniques.
• Ensure training site employees on failure analysis, spare parts consumption analysis etc.
• Revises job plans and maintenance frequencies of all-equipment and develops tools and methods to carry out such revision.
• Carry out life cycle cost analysis. Initiates and develop reliability tools to meet Company requirement.
• Carry our root cause analysis for major and recurrent failures. Carry out reliability studies on equipment and plants.
b. Maintenance Management System
• Ensures transfer / provision of necessary data to the system and defines common codes to be used in the integrated system.
• Develops additional tools related to reliability engineering and ensure their correct implementation.
• Develop procedures to optimize spares parts and improve equipment reliability. Ensures quality control of CMMS data related to Rotating Equipment.
c. Maintenance Support
• Ensures the provision of necessary assistance on trouble shooting problems / day to day activities when required for Rotating equipment Reviews and evaluates proposed modifications, overhauls maintenance schemes and make necessary recommendations.
• Recommend necessary modification / replacement of equipment to overcome technical problems. Assists operational sites to develop appropriate monitoring techniques to help reflecting the equipment real conditions.
• Leads and supervises specific scheme / works allocated to Reliability Engineering in different disciplines including rotating equipment. Conduct FEMA and define a maintainability strategy in order to develop new maintenance philosophy in line with new maintenance approach.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and a postgraduate course in Reliability Engineering.
• 10-12 Years experience in the related field in Oil / Petrochemical Industry with background of modern maintenance systems.
• Good knowledge of English.
