JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE
Oversees the mechanical works undertaken in Mussafah Contractor¡¦s workshop covering maintenance and major overhauls of a wide range of pumps, diesel engines, compressors and air blowers related to turbine, and other rotating machinery equipments. Prepare the initial inspection report of machines coming for repairs and decides on qualified contractors to do the job and on the required spares either through free issue or by local manufacturing.
(Work covers either machinery overhaul and maintenance works for ZWSC, ZCSC, USSC, Al-Hyleh Barge, Das Island and Mussafah supply boats or fabrication jobs for equipment for vessels, storage tanks and valves).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
„X Directs, coordinates and controls either maintenance or overhaul works for machinery equipment such as: pumps, air blowers etc., or fabrication jobs required for the accessory static equipment such as: Risers, Cradles, Skids, etc. Receives the work requests from end users, plans the course of action, determines priorities and directs the implementation.
„X Receives work request from sites directly, or through Technical Support Workshop Section Leader and accordingly prepares necessary documents, such as work orders, scope of work quotation requests, contract requisitions, etc. Advise the Company store to prepare loading note and sends equipment to be stripped down in contractor¡¦s workshop floor under close supervision. Prepare the initial inspection report in coordination with the contractor. Sends inspection requests to Topside Facility Integrity Department, in case of major damages, for further analysis/investigation of failures root cause analysis. Reports the required action to concerned sites with full details of the cause of failure and provides scope of work contractors.
„X Arranges all required available spare parts in stock and provides contractors with necessary drawing / documents to ensure that unavailable spare parts are manufactured locally. Issues service orders / contract release orders through CMMS system and obtain approvals prior to award the job to Contractor. Follow up refurbishment, monitor / control & ensure QA/QC & HSE are met. Attend & ensures that final relevant tests are completed as per agreed procedures, at the contractor¡¦s workshop and that the equipment are properly packed & delivered back to stores for dispatch to sites with relevant documents / certificates.
„X Arranges all spare parts required for maintenance of related equipment and ensures minimum stock level has kept in the stock for the urgent operational requirements. Coordinates with Commercial Division to ensure spares availability on time. Receives Commercial inquiries on spares and recommends acceptable price / dates. Ensure long term delivery spares are locally manufactured for urgent jobs to avoid operational interruptions.
„X Prepares status reports for ongoing jobs with expected completion dates to support the sites requirements. Advises the site of any modifications for future reference. Issues all necessary spare parts required for maintenance jobs to be completed on sites. Assists in the preparation of scope of work for pumps / air blowers and their auxiliary equipment for tender purposes and ensures availability of drawings / specification, etc.
„X Ensures contractor¡¦s personnel adhere to Company¡¦s maintenance policy, standard, and codes of practice and safety regulations. Ensures maintenance of appropriate level of safe housekeeping in the working area.
„X Perform other related duties as assigned by Technical Support Workshop Section Leader such as: preparing technical reports / statistics, performing site visits, providing site with technical support when necessary, assisting in training UAE graduates / Juniors, updating computer files, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
„X Secondary Technical Education Certificate followed by a minimum of 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
„X 8 years experience in Oil / Petrochemical Industry with background of modern Rotating Machinery Maintenance Techniques / Inspection Fabrication Fields using CMMS systems.
„X Good knowledge of Standards and Recommended practices of API / ASME / ANSI / BIS Codes related to Rotating Equipment.
„X Knowledge to interpret the Drawing such as P&ID, Isometrics, Sectional Drawings, etc.
„X Good knowledge of English and computer literate.
