Permit to Work Coordinator

Location: UAE
This position reports to the Mukhaizna HES Team Lead and is responsible for the day to day coordination of the Permit To Work (PTW) system for Mukhaizna operations. Responsibilities will also include the maintaining of proper records, auditing of permits and associated certificates, and on-site monitoring of personnel engaged in permit to work activities to ensure these activities are being conducted in accordance with the proper PTW procedures.

Major Duties/Tasks (day-to-day tasks & activities)
• Provide supervision, support and direction in all daily PTW activities.
• Coordinate the permit process in accordance with relevant procedures and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate forward/next day planning with the various operational teams regarding permitted work.
• Ensure all permits are supported with the necessary safety certificates and documentation.
• Track work permits throughout the entire process from inception to close out.
• Ensure proper record keeping requirements and maintain a daily permit log.
• Audit the permits and permit process to identify deficiencies and short falls.
• Mentor Company and Contractor personnel in the PTW system.

Requirements (minimum education required, background, experience, skills)
• A minimum of 10 years oil & gas industry experience with a background in production operations and significant previous working experience in a PTW environment.
• Have proven experience in the various permit to work activities. (hot work, confined space entry, energy isolation, radiography etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English in both verbal and written form, are essential. Completion of job tasks depends greatly on effective interactions with others.
• Must be a leader and self-motivated.
• Must possess good problem solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions to identified problems.
• Must be a good team player and posses the ability to interact with all levels of operational personnel.
• Must have good computer skills and skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to complete task assignments unsupervised.
