SENIOR IT AUDITING MANAGER

To plan and manage all aspects of a management oriented audit programme encompassing all COMPANY operations, including Agents worldwide, to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and to afford proper protection of COMPANY’s assets and integrity.

Key Accountabilities:
• Identify activities for audit coverage, evaluate their significance and assess the degree of risk and plan audit coverage to mitigate the risk...
• Design and schedule Audit programs to ensure adequate audit coverage of the identified audit risks...
• Monitor COMPANY products (its sailings from individual locations), documentation of vessel and cargo movements so as to ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures.
• Co-ordinate with various Auditors in the department in preparing weekly, monthly and annual reports which provide feedback on observations and findings and highlights areas of high risk.
• Collect, report and remittance of manifested and non-manifested revenue; Handle vessels' disbursements economically and in effective manner; controlling movement, and productive utilization of equipment (containers);
• Ensure compliance with local laws & regulations and keep Line updated with developments.
• Identify business opportunities / weaknesses and advising Line on current and future strategies.
• Monitor Agent's financial stability in order to meet its obligations under the Agency agreement.
• Review the final and detailed reports and working papers before presentation to the Management, with personal recommendations for improvement of the internal controls.
• Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of Assistant Auditors to ensure that all work within a specific area of Audit activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
• Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of Audit Management activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Finance - MBA or similar graduate degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Good knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Excel; Conversant with standard Accounting Software and spreadsheets.
• Analytical and critical thinker, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
• Time Management and leadership skills.
• High degree of versatility especially while performing field work.
• Ability to work under continuous pressure.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
