Very well known world class petrochemical manufacturer and distributor with production facilities in Texas and Louisiana seeks Project Engineer to work in Southern California office outside of Los Angeles. This will be a long term contract position for a project which is scheduled for completion Dec. 2010. Candidates should have 10+ years project/ construction experience. Position begins in Southern California until 4th quarter of 2009, then shifts to South East, Texas office. Responsibilities to include but not limited to, monitoring the project, first in the engineering contractor's home office and then at the job site. He will ensure that the engineering design is done in accordance with company specifications. Monitoring responsibilities will include the broad areas of project administration, engineering, detailed design, drafting, procurement, construction and start-up. Candidate must define the overall project plan and schedule. You will assume the primary responsibility for the achievement of scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
