Description Site visits for data collection, observations, and testing. Critical analysis of data collected during site visit. Post-process data into summary tables and graphs. Develop heat and mass balance calculations. Develop and use process modeling software. Develop equipment specifications and data sheets. Procurement activities including obtaining bids, evaluating bids, and making purchase recommendations. Develop detailed cost estimated based on in-house data and vendor quotations. Develop process flow diagrams. Work with intermediate/senior engineers to develop recommendations. Report and presentation writing. Establish and maintain project files. Requirements Strong process and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Skills to use a personal computer with various software packages. Knowledge of Excel including Visual Basic coding is helpful. WPGCT uses: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) &a mp;a mp;a mp;n bsp; AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD AFT Fathom modeling package CHAM Phoenics CFD package ANSYS CFX CFD package Use of pitot tube and manometers for pressure and flow testing helpful Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required (Masters or higher preferred for senior engineering positions but equivalent industry experience can compensate). Experience in the metallurgical process and/or environmental areas preferred (2-5 yrs required for intermediate engineers and 5-10 yrs required for senior engineers).
