Mechanical Engineer - Pipe Stress Houston, TX, USA
The Mechanical Engineer doing pipe stress and piping would be working for the Lead Mechanical Engineer on a project and/or helping train less experienced Engineers in Pipe Stress and the use of Caesar II Pipe Stress Program. Job Requirements: B.S. Degree in Engineering Minimum of 10 years experience in producing Pipe Stress calculations and reports ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8 code piping. The majorty of the pipe stress experience is required to have been using Caesar II pipe stress computer program. Experience with pipe stress around rotating and reciprocating pumps and compressors a must. Offshore piping experience; especially dealing with bridge to deck piping and wellhead flow lines is a Plus. Must also be willing to mentor pipe stress inexperienced engineers and teach them the use of Caesar II and pipe stress in general. Must also be willing to learn to produce Piping Material and Valve Specifications. Already experienced in producing piping and valve specification is a Plus.
