Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.)
- Experience: 7 years of engineering design with an oil and gas industry or similar process industry. Experience must show capability of developing design packages for new and existing electrical installations including technical scope of work, BOM, equipment specification, and engineering drawings.
- Thorough knowledge of industry codes and standards such as NEC, NEMA, and IEC.
- Language Requirement: comprehensive knowledge of the English language is a must.
Position Description
- Prepare electrical design packages that include design drawings and material take-offs. Design package may include MV & LV system modification, grounding, DC systems (battery banks, chargers, rectifiers, and UPS systems), lighting, switchgears, motor control centers
(MCC), transformers, breakers, AC motors, transfer switches and standby generators.
- Conduct field survey, and provide support in developing scope of work definition and clarification.
- Work in both onshore and offshore facilities.
- Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates.
- Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operation Divisions in regard to new installation and modification.
- Review design drawings and engineering specification and perform quality assurance and assessment.
- Communicate with equipment vendors and technical consultants to resolve complex issues concerning upgrade of equipment, new technology, revision to standards and equipment purchase specifications.
- Provide mentoring and transfer technical knowledge and skills to entry level engineers.
Selection Criteria
- Must have minimum of 9 years experience in the electrical design area for oil and gas facility or similar industry.
- Must have extensive experience developing electrical one-line and wiring diagrams, control schematics, grounding layout, and cable &
conduit schedules. Experience must include field and site survey.
Other Requirements:
- Must be familiar with electrical area classification and have knowledge of electrical industry standards such as NEC, NEMA, and IEC
- Must be detail oriented, self motivated, and have the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards (SAES) and Material Specifications (SAMSS) is a plus.
