Process Engineer

North Ghawar Producing Department (NGPD( is looking for an experienced engineer with extensive knowledge in process engineering with a focus on upstream oil facilities. Incumbent is expected to work with the Operations, Maintenance and Engineering )IME) teams to optimize existing plant processes and contribute to the safety and reliability of the facilities. Incumbent is required to offer cost effective solutions to the complex problems the department normally encounters in the daily operations.

Other requirements include: 1) Use process simulations for design, process selection and optimization. 2) Research, propose and deploy new technologies to resolved or enhance operations, 3) train young engineers.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

At least nine (or more) years work experience in Oil Processing Plants or Petrochemical Industries.

Familiar with process simulation software such as HYSYS and Pipe soft, etc.

Familiar with industry standards such as API and ASME.

Active team member who can perform well in teams.

Must have excellent communications skills, written and oral.

Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

NGPD operates many Gas Oil Separation Plants (GOSPs) and water injection plants (WIPs). The department also manages over thousands of oil/gas/water wells and about thousands of km of pipeline network to support the requirement oil and gas production from the Ghawar oilfield and Abqaiq oilfield. NGPD facilities are scattered in three areas (Abqaiq, Ain Dar and Shedgum).

As our facilities are aging and the oilfields become more mature, more efforts are required to sustain the required production rates, and this is where we will need the experienced process engineer to help the department optimize the processes in our facilities.
