A great company, north of New Orleans is aggressively searching for a Mechanical Project Engineer. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to preparing designs, specifications, estimates, equipment reviews for installation of projects at the facility. Provide direction and oversight to Contractors performing project work in the facility. Provide technical assistance to Operating and Maintenance Departments regarding resolution of equipment and process problems. Maintain and improve the reliability of the process and physical plant of the facility. Maintain files and records of projects in the Engineering Department. Must have a four year degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Basic computer skills is a must. 0-10 years experience. The ideal candidate will also be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, be promotable, and cabling of climbing, stooping, squatting, crawling, walking, and standing.
