Senior Electrical Engineer (UDI)

Our client, one of the worlds’s leading providers of engineering and construction services are currently seeking to employ a Senior Electrical Engineer for the upgrade and Brownfield’s expansion of a major mineral processing plant in the former Soviet Union.

Your key accountabilities will be:

* Implement safety and value improving initiatives in electrical design; including design change during the design and construction effort
* Control change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work
* Monitor construction activities to ensure work efficiency and that quality and workmanship meet project standards and specifications

To qualify for this position you will have the following qualifications and attributes:

* A Degree in Electrical Engineering, diploma or relevant qualification along with substantial design experience.
* Should already be working at senior engineer level, with a proven track record of working in design on large client focused international, multi discipline projects in the Minerals and Metals Industry with 10 years conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design experience gained in the design office of a major engineering company.
* Experience in the electrical design of minerals and metals processing facilities and in particular the detail design of HV and LV power distribution, control and instrumentation systems.
* The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of applicable codes and standards, and be up to date with technological developments in their particular specialised field.
* Able to communicate effectively with clients, alliance partners and peers.

Special Requirement: Ability to speak Russian/Ukrainian is highly desirable.

This role will be required for the 4 year lifespan of the project and is offered on a fly in fly out basis with 6 weeks on & 2 weeks off roster. On offer is an attractive remuneration package.
