Our client is a growth-oriented gold mining and exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of gold properties in Central Asia, the former Soviet Union and other emerging markets.
Our client is seeking an experienced Diamond Drillers for its gold operation located in the Kyrgyz Republic, Central Asia. Reporting to the Diamond Drill General Foreman, Diamond Drillers are responsible for the day-to-day drill rig operation. The ability to train and develop national employees, with a strong emphasis on safe operation, is a key component of this position.
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in mud-based drilling programs, permafrost drilling, cold weather situations, directional drilling, down-hole orientation surveys, geotechnical drilling, and deep-hole drilling (over 800m depths).

Experience in all mechanical aspects of drill rig operations and operational aspects of drilling in mountainous terrain
*
Experience with LY50, LF140, and LF230 drill rigs will be an asset.

Medically able to work at altitude.
*
Prior experience in a Former Soviet Union (FSU) country, or other expatriate environment, would be advantageous.
These rotational positions will be twelve month contracts with the potential for extension by mutual agreement. The opportunity provides for a challenging work environment and competitive remuneration package. Rotational employees work an 8 weeks on 4 weeks off rotation and are based at the mine site.
