Mine Manager

Our client is currently seeking the services of a well experienced and qualified Mine Manager for their gold mining operation located in the Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia.

The Mine Manager will be responsible for leading and directing the Open Pit Mining, Engineering and Underground Departments with an objective to plan, sustain and improve production targets.

Responsibilities shall include:

* Day to day running of large scale operational open pit mine
* Managing the development of work for a new underground mine
* Accountability for the performance of the geology, mine operations and mine engineering departments (including hydrogeology)
* Promotion of the Company’s Behaviour Based safety Program

The ideal candidate will have:

* A degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
* A minimum of 10-12 years Senior Management experience
* Experience in a range of large scale open pit and/or mechanised underground operations
* High levels of self-motivation and integrity
* Physical ability to work at high altitude

Beneficial will be:

* Familiarity and working knowledge of Six Sigma principles
* Experience in a Former Soviet Union country
* Demonstrated background in training and development programs for National Staff
* Russian language skills desirable but not essential

This is a resident position, located in Bishkek, the capital city of the Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia. An attractive expatriate remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
