Country (Exploration) Manager China

Our client is seeking a strong leader for the exploration manager role in China.

The position can either be a FIFO rotation (4 in/2 out) or be based in China. The Country Manager position will report to the General Manager of Exploration and Resources.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Strategy development and implementation
* Management of risk profile through progressive build up of operating knowledge, thorough due diligence and the selection and development of quality partners/relationships
* Building a core portfolio of high quality gold and copper projects
* Sourcing and evaluating properties, prospects, deposits and technical data
* Negotiating tenement access and acquiring various regulatory approvals
* Implementation and management of exploration programs
* Corporate representation
* Budget development, reporting and cost control
* Implementation of company health, safety, environmental and communities policies

To be successful in this role you should have a solid track record of exploration with Tertiary qualifications in Geology or related discipline, with at least 10 years experience. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. A willingness to learn the local dialect of Chinese would be a distinct advantage.
