Crusher Mechanical Specialist

Our client, an open cut mining operation in the Asia Pacific, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Crusher Mechancial Specialist.

This position reports to the Team Leader Crusher Mechanical and will operate on a 28 days on, 14 days off FIFO roster from point of hire working 6 days per week on site.

The purpose of this role is to:

Provide support and technical expertise to the Crusher Area to ensure quality work output and safe and effectvie operation of mill crusher circuit and associated processes and equipment.
*
Ensure OH&S standards are upheld and the impact of Crusher Maintenance Area on environment is evaluated and maintained.

The key accountabilitie of the role are:

* Coach and mentor mechancial tradespersons to achieve quality production
* Participate in health, safety and environmental programs targeting zero work related injuries and illnesses within the mill department.
* Ensure that utilisation and availability of equipment throughout the mill is maximised through liaison with all mill teams.
* Participate in the implementation of effecive short and long term preventative maintenance plans and the upgrade of mechanical equipment.
* Provide technical and practical expertise in the management of spares.
* Lead the development, maintenance and change management of equipment and systems in the crusher area.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

* Mechancial Fitter or Boilermaker trade qualification,
* Solid experience in mining or heavy industry experience
* Sound working knowledge and experience in industrial mechanical equipment
* Minimum of 12 years mining industry experience.
* Writing skills using MS Word and any formal training in specialised mechancial areas such as crushers, apron feeders or conveyor systems will be highly regarded.
