Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating site personnel in maintenance activities associated with the mineral processing plant plant including Electrical and Mechanical installations.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supervising and training a National workforce
*
Implementing maintenance / engineering projects including scheduled and breakdown maintenance
*
Ensuring Company policies and procedures are adhered to
*
Assisting in developing, implementing and maintaining ongoing training programs
*
Be pro-active in applying appropriate up-to-date and cost effective maintenance techniques
*
Carrying out daily tasks including daily record keeping, planning and reporting
*
Attending daily and weekly meetings and provide accurate maintenance reports

To be considered for this role it is essential that you possess the following:

*
Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualifications
*
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar supervisory or management role
*
A minimum of 5 years experience in a mining / mineral processing environment
*
Basic knowledge of French and/or Swahili Languages would be favourable
*
Computer literacy ie MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, MS Project, Pronto
*
Ability to work as part of a team and facilitate team effectiveness
*
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
*
Well developed communication and planning skills
*
Able to efficiently identify, analyse and resolve mechanical and electrical problems.
*
Able to work without supervision and to accept responsibility

This role is based at our client's facilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This role will operate off a single status FIFO roster of 8 weeks on x 4 weeks off with flights provided from site to point of hire. Accommodation and messing is provided along with an attractive remuneration package including bonus.
