Duncan Oil Properties, Inc., an exploration and production company foucsed in the Anadarko Basin seeks a geologist/exploration manager with extensive experience to help manage an expanding propsecting effort.
The exploration manager position is responsible for specifying, acquiring, and analyzing geological data required to evaluate and develop prospects for an expanding Anadarko Basin drilling effort. The candidate is responsible for the integration of subsurface, production, and geophysical data into cohesive play and prospect development. Candidate must be able to coordinate the efforts of other geologists, support staff, service companies, and contractors to excel as exploration manager. The candidate is expected to be able to simultaneously manage numerous tasks and projects. Must be willing to make recommendations as to the viability of projects based on a sound understanding of a prospect's geological and economic potential.
Required Experience:
- Ten or more years of experience as a petroleum geologist required.
- A Bachelors Degree in Geology is required.
Position Level: Management
This Job Requires the Following Skills:
- Must be able to communicate and work with other disciplines (land and engineering) to bring prospects to fruition.
- Extensive experience interpreting well logs.
- Sound understanding of depositional environments of the Anadarko Basin.
- Comfortable making presentations.
- Good understanding of the exploration/development economics.
Education Required:
BS in Geology
