Description:CCL has been requested by an international oil company to provide a Contracts Specialist to be based in Houston with occasional travel to T&T, GOM etc. Purpose is to carry out contracting process ensuring best value position is achieved for material, equipment and services on a confidential and competitive basis. Compliance with Company Governance requirements, processes and procedures. Will report to Global Supply Managers / Project Procurement Managers. This vacancy is being handled by CCL's Houston office.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Law, MBA preferred. Superior communication and problem solving skills. MS Office required, SAP R3 MM highly desirable. Fluent written and spoken English, additional language skills desirable.
Experience:Minimum 5 years' experience in the resources industry with exposure to major oil & gas projects in supply chain management. Contract negotiation experience on major projects (local & international) with a detailed understanding of required contract terms, risks and benefits of variation of contract type and terms. Experience in major fabrication and construction contracts. Understanding of upstream E&P business, Project Supply Chain Management and Production Supply Chain Management. Experience with supporting Hook up and Commissioning activities and in warranty and guarantee claims. Risk and business management skills. Work with internal customers to develop contracting strategies, manage the tender process, lead or assist in negotiations, prepare contract documentation, execute and distribute documents. Accountable for governance of the Services Contracting process, practice and compliance. Provide post contract execution support to the contract sponsor. Recommend and implement contract procedures to improve practises and techniques to gain efficiency and effectiveness.
