Wisconsin Energy company seeks a Mechanical Assembly Technician. Selected Technician will be responsible for: Assembling mechanical components of small scale chemical pilot plant systems; Work with high pressure combustible gas systems; Performing proof and leak tests; Working with laboratory personnel to maintain and modify experimental systems; With training, perform routine maintenance of equipment such as compressors, air dryer, water filter, ventilation systems, hoods, and other mechanical equipment as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Associates Degree or Experience and high quality references in lieu of education; 2 years minimum similar experience. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities desired: Creativity; Demonstrated understanding and talent with mechanical components and systems; Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams; Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as drills, saws, taps, general plumbing equipment; Ability to use shop tools such as cut off saw, presses and bending machines; Experience with lathes, mills, and welding equipment definitely a plus.
