Principal/Senior Rail Signal Engineer

Kinetic Engineering Recruitment is a leading supplier of engineering recruitment solutions to the Rail Sector. As a partner with some of the largest Rail companies in Australia, we are currently seeking Professional Engineers for large on-going projects

Our client is a leading provider of rail signalling and control systems in Australia. Due to a newly secured long-term contract, Kinetic are searching for Principal/Senior Rail Signal Engineers, with a successful track record leading complex design and testing activities.

Successful candidates will possess some or all of the following attributes:

The drive to lead teams and to identify potential and future opportunities in the signalling and communications area as well as the ability to work on your own as an expert in your field.
Provide expert advice and act as Design Team leader to cover all aspects of Signalling Design and Testing.
Experience in the preparation of feasibility studies in all areas of railway signalling and/or train control systems
Experience preparing scheme plans and estimates for signalling works.
Solid understanding on the various train protection systems available.
Understanding of train operations, planning and safeworking systems, such as SSI, VPI, Microlok and relay types of interlocking
Communication skills to train engineers and technical officers in signalling engineering are essential.
Key requirements you will possess;

BSc in Electronic or Electrical Engineering preferably at Honours level (or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of Railway Signalling Systems, Covering Design, Installation and Testing,
IRSE Licensed or Member of IRSE,
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills,
8+ years experience
The successful candidate can expect a higher than average salary and package depending on the skills and experience offered to the position. With this in mind, there is no pre-determined maximum salary.
