Permanent senior level position in the Engineering sector in South Africa (Gauteng).
Our client, a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm, requires the services of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on projects.
Qualifications / Experience Required / Duties
• Valid South African ID
• National Diploma or a B Tech in Building
• Registration as a member of the ASAQS or SA Council of Quantity Surveyors
• Computer Literate
• A minimum of 5 years mining and construction experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Large projects experience
• Quantity Surveying Process
• Quantity surveying as per project requirements
• Preparation of cost budget estimates
• Measuring from drawings
• Compilation of enquiry documents
• Financial planning
• Commercial adjudications and recommendations
• Compilation of contract documents and certificates
• Financial reviews
• Site visits and attending site meetings
• Monthly progress measurement and reporting
• Preparation of bills of quantities and final accounts
• Ensure contractors meet with all current project contractual requirements and procedures
