IMMEDIATE NEED in southeastern Kansas fort a Design Engineer who has a minimum of 1 -2 years work experience and a Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on structural design and analysis. Your experience using Inventor 9 and concrete design will be a big plus in this position. Having knowledge of OSHA, AWWA, ASME, ACI, API, and FM standards is desired, but not having this knowledge will not disqualify you. You MUST BE highly proficient using AutoCAD, the company is presently using 2004, and be able to demonstrate this proficiency during an in-person interview. The responsibilities of the position include: structural calculations on bolted and welded tanks, structural supports, equipment platforms, stairs and walkways; structural designs; new product design; improvement of present products. The employer offers compensation that will be commensurate with your experience and expertise as well as health, dental, life, short and long term disability insurance, 11 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacation, prorated in your first year of employment, as well as 401k with company contribution and profit sharing. Some relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
