JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnose operating problems and monitor operations of assigned units on a daily basis
Demonstrate analytical and engineering skills
Exhibit intimate knowledge of the process and technologies of assigned units
Use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques in providing solutions to a variety of problems
Provide technical assistance to assigned area, and troubleshoot operating problems while recommending timely solutions
Develop conceptual plans, analyze scope of projects and determine engineering requirements
Analyze scope of projects and determine engineering requirements. Establish criteria, develop economic feasibility studies and evaluate engineering design and procedures
Develop process designs for small (< $1MM) capital projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering required
5 years technical experience in a refinery or petrochemical environment required
Hysim/Aspen process simulation software experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization required
Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Open to relocation to other refinery facilities
