Location: Houston, TX, USA
Immediate Need in Houston Texas for a Process Engineer. A minimum of 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry and a BS in Engineering or related field is required. Upstream experience is preferred. Responsibilities include providing computational hydraulic analysis for gas, liquid, and multiphase pipelines. You will have to perform optimization studies for oil and gas gathering pipelines and associated processing facilities and prepare simulations for oil, water and gas separation, and treatment facilities. Experience with heavy crudes, paraffnic crudes, high pour-point crudes, sour gas and sour liquids, and supercritical carbon dioxide is needed. Expertise in utilizing process simulation software, for example HYSIS is needed. Expertise in utilizing pipeline hydraulic simulation software, steady state and transient, is needed. A good candidate will be able to provide process control requirements for input to P&IDs. You will have to perform cost estimates and optimization studies for processing and pipeline facilities and prepare technical specifications for process equipment and prime movers.
