A manufacturer in Eastern Maryland has an immediate need for a Process Engineer. The right candidate will have a Bachelor degree in engineering. BSME preferred. A minimum of five years manufacturing experience with familiarity of lean manufacturing techniques and 80/20 is required. Must be computer literate and able to use programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Microsoft Project, and Auto Cad proficiently. Key responsibilities will be to lead process improvement initiatives that would include: process experimentation, process design, process optimization, process control, and process definition and documentation to reduce waste to achieve continuous improvement and ultimately lead to quantum leap cost reductions. Will be the lead in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, reduce cycle times, improve productivity, create and find capacity, improve process reliability, and improve customer satisfaction with respect to on time delivery, yields, and quality. Will support a minimum of 6 internally led kaizen events and achieve internal sustainability of continuous improvement. Will complete standard work for all operations within the manufacturing value stream and coordinate with production supervision to assure effective execution of standard work.
