Power Generation client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Plant Safety Engineer for a power plant located between San Francisco and Sacramento California. You need to have 5-10+ years of experience coordinating the safety and health functions for an operational power plant. You also need a BS degree with an emphasis in industrial safety, occupational safety/health, industrial hygiene or related field preferred. A CIH and/or ASP/CSP is considered a big plus. You need a solid understanding of OSHA & California-OSHA regulations, NFPA standards or other applicable codes. This client is not looking for an Industrial Hygienist, although this position is split into about 30% industrial hygiene and 70% safety. You need experience developing and implementing safety and health management systems, accident prevention techniques and self audits and evaluations. You may be required to act as liaison between company and regulatory agencies on safety and health matters and to prepare data, reports, and procedures for company use or submission to such agencies. Our client prefers candidates who either live in the San Francisco/Sacramento area (or anywhere in California) or have lived in California before and want to get back. Our client offers excellent pay, benefits, 401k, 10% target bonus and a relocation package.

• Do you have a solid understanding of California OSHA regulations? Explain.

• Do you live in California? If not, have you ever lived there before?
