A leading consulting engineering firm with an Oakland office is seeking a qualified candidate to direct and manage the Vehicular Tunnel Ventilation Group. Primary responsibilities will be to perform business development to identify and win new tunnel ventilation work each year, manage projects to make a 20+% earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) and provide technical leadership and quality assurance to all Tunnel Ventilation Group work products. Requirements B.S. in Mechanical or Mining Engineering and a P.E. in Mechanical or Mining is required. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years experience in mechanical ventilation of vehicular tunnels or mines, including computer analyses of normal, congested and fire/smoke/heat conditions, design of mechanical ventilation systems including fans and controls, plus knowledge of building codes and transit fire/life safety codes/standards.
