Large Consulting firm is located in Southern, California, and is actively looking for two Senior Design Mechanical Engineers with professional design experience in the medical industry. Candidate MUST HAVE BS in Mechanical Engineering, with 10 years of professional design experience, preferably in the medical industry. Candidate must also have thorough knowledge of 3D design tools such as Catia, Solidworks, or Inventor, strong analytical skills needed for tolerance analyses, FMEA, and FEA, experience with Microsoft, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, knowledge of standard drafting practices, GD&T, and strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. Experience with dynamic sealing technologies and coatings are a plus. Candidate will be responsible for developing new products, evolving conceptual ideas into detailed designs, documenting designs using 3D CAD systems, performing extensive analysis of designs, creating test protocols for new designs, creating design history files for new products, performing material review for discrepant hardware, maintaining existing designs and documentation, creating and updating procedures, and performing root cause analysis.
