EPC advisor needed for a long term contract opportunity in Brisbane, Australia with a major oil and gas company. The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree and at least five years experience leading and managing the commercial aspects of the EPC contract development process. This role requires expertise in procurement, as well as strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills. Preferred candidates will be experienced in upstream construction, maintenance, drilling, or production services’ contracting. Responsibilities include working with the project controls manager (PCM) on the overall project contracting strategy; gaining alignment with the project management team (PMT) on specific issues regarding the contract plan for the EPC package being worked; coordinating tenderer pre-qualification and selection process; developing and obtaining approval of the procurement plan; working with the PMT to develop the invitation to tender (ITT) package; coordinating communications with tenderers during the tender period; analyzing proposals and negotiating with tenderer(s) to resolve all contractual terms and conditions and pricing issues during the tender evaluation period; working with the PMT to develop and gain approval for the contract award recommendation; completing the contract and issue for execution; maintaining communication with the upstream project procurement (UPP) subject matter expert, and contributing to functional excellence of the UPP Network.
