MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 15 years experience with minimum 5 years experience in Business Development for refining and petrochemicals. Commercial/business skills, i.e. negotiated transfer prices or/and joint ventures definitive agreements.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Chemical engineer with at least 15 years experience in the refining or petrochemical industry or both, or better yet, in an integrated refining/petrochemical facility/company. Recently worked in the corporate planning or facilities planning function (preferred). Knowledgeable about refining/petrochemical integration. Worked in operations and/or operations engineering, i.e. grew up in the field but has now moved on to corporate/facilities planning and economic analysis. Some experience using a linear program. Experience developing and running economic models. Knowledgeable about IRR, NPV, and other economic indicators, and how to calculate and apply them. Able to effectively communicate and interact with diverse disciplines both inside and outside of the company, including finance, legal, contracting, etc. Effective writing skills.
