Sales Engineer

My client is the local division of a global design, manufacture and installation company in the industrial burner sector. With a German parent, and local expertise, they deliver both standard and customized products to a knowledgeable customer base of specialist engineering firms. Supplying products into the boiler, power generation, industrial dryer and a variety of other applications, they have a reputation for quality, reliability and performance which sets them apart.
In order to deliver these products, and to communicate to the broader marketplace, they require a hands-on and down to earth engineer that can assist customers in specifying the correct product, and operating parameters in order to meet their particular needs. The Sales Engineer will also be expected to maintain a level of market awareness, and be self motivated in searching out major projects, and getting to know the stakeholders in order to ensure your products are specified and installed.

It is likely you will be a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer, but more importantly, you will have direct experience with burners, either from a maintenance engineering, or installation engineering environment. You may have been involved with industrial boilers, dryers, ovens, or be in a power generation or mining environment, and will have direct experience with equipment specification. You will be comfortable navigating P&ID?s and understand basic combustion principles. An understanding of Australian Standards for boilers and/or the use of burners and burner management systems is also required.

Of course strong verbal and written communication skills are critical, as you will be the voice and face of your company to the clients.
