My client is a leading Australian company with their Head Office in Sydney. They design and manufacture products to strict Australian standards and distribute them through both retail and commercial outlets. With an enviable reputation for products, service and quality, they are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their management team.
Reporting directly to the State Manager, your principal challenges are to:
* Consult with architects, engineers and builders to provide product solutions;
* Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers & provide technical advice to them;
* Manage quotes and tenders;
* Represent the Company at industry functions;
* Maintain current knowledge of industry best practice and developments in construction to ensure a competitive edge.
This is a critical stand alone position, requiring an enthusiastic, committed person with a hands-on approach necessary to develop, drive and deliver the technical support to the market.
The successful applicant should have relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction or Engineering, high levels of initiative and self-management, excellent interpersonal & communications skills, good strategic thinking & analytical abilities together with a background in the architectural, construction or building industries.
