Our client, one of the world's leading suppliers of Iron Ore, is looking for motivated individuals to join their team as production technicians.
Based in Western Australia, our client operates several mining operations, port facilities, on-site processing plants and railway and is going from strength to strength.
Position Description
Our client is seeking motivated, safety-conscious individuals to actively contribute to the achievement of production goals through the operation of fixed & mobile plant. Fixed plant operation incorporates unloading railcars and operating stackers, reclaimers, sample systems and ship loaders. You will also be involved in the crushing and screening areas. Mobile equipment includes loaders, forklifts, bobcats and trucks.
Operating in a climate of continuous improvement, you will:
Ensure any breakdowns and faults are reported immediately;
Instigate appropriate corrective action when a product non-conformance is identified;
Carry out checks on equipment as required; and
Undertake cleanup, dust suppression and housekeeping activities.
Through your adherence to specific operating procedures and instructions you will consistently achieve safety, quality and environmental targets.
Skills and Experience
You will have substantial experience as a Production Technician. You will have excellent communication skills and a proven commitment to teamwork. Although not essential, mechanical maintenance / fitting expertise will be well regarded and experience as a control room operator will be favorably viewed.
