UNDERGROUND MINE SUPERVISORS Timmins, ON, CANADA
Reporting to Underground Mining Superintendent, the Underground Mine Supervisors will be responsible for the co-ordination and direction of development, production, service and maintenance crews on a rotating shift basis, while ensuring cost, production and quality targets are met or exceeded in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
Minimum 7 years underground mining experience of which 2-3 years were in a supervisory capacity.
Completion of secondary school is required - engineering degree/diploma is ideal.
Track record testifies strong safety focus, and extensive knowledge of mobile equipment operation and maintenance, as well as environmental matters relevant to mining operations.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent leadership skills.
Provincial certification as an Underground Mine Supervisor required.
Comfortable with using computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
