SECURITY / FIRST AID OFFICERS

Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd (KCGM) is the manager of joint ventures between Barrick Gold of Australia Limited and Newmont Australia Limited.

KCGM's operations are situated five minutes from the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder which has a population of approximately 30,000. Kalgoorlie-Boulder boasts a wide range of modern amenities including first class recreational facilities, shopping complexes and educational institutions.

KCGM is Australia's largest gold producer, producing ore from the famous Golden Mile using both underground and open pit mining techniques. Ore is currently treated at the Fimiston Plant and Gidji Roaster with an annual production in excess of 700,000 ounces.

KCGM is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for Security First Aid Officer positions within our Safety & Environment Department.

Reporting directly to the Security / First Aid Supervisor, the successful applicants will be responsible for the securing of Company assets, monitoring of site access by employees and contractors, and administrating of first aid treatment.

Other key responsibilities include the conducting of security patrols, responding to emergency callout functions, CCTV and alarm monitoring, security escorts and static guard duties, visitor inductions and fitness for work testing.

To apply for these positions you must possess:

„X a current Occupational First Aid accreditation; and
„X a minimum of Certificate II in Security Operations; and
„X a current ¡¥C¡¦ Class Driver¡¦s License.

A sound knowledge of emergency response and gatehouse procedures is also important for these roles, as is a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of mine site operations, and previous experience on a mine site would be advantageous.

These positions involve working a roster consisting of 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, 4 off.

These positions are Kalgoorlie residential roles, offering competitive salary packages, including health insurance allowance and generous quarterly bonus scheme. Salary and conditions will be discussed at interview stage.
